Undergraduate Activities

The Harvard Classical Club

The Harvard Classical Club, founded in 1885, is run by a group of Harvard undergraduates interested in Classics. The Classical Club regularly hosts Friday dinners for its members (Mensa), organizes a yearly Certamen competition for middle- and high school students, as well as other social events. Historically, the members have translated and produced an ancient play each spring.

Persephone is the Harvard Undergraduate Classics Journal; it includes Latin and Greek texts and translations, original literary and artistic works, and critical and original essays. Please visit the Persephone website to read recent issues or to submit work to be considered for publication. Contributors need not be affiliated with Harvard.
