IMAGES FOR CLASSICISTS is back in print!

May 13, 2018

After selling out its initial print run, Images for Classicists is available again from Harvard University Press for $20. The volume, edited by Kathleen M. Coleman, explores ways in which consideration of artworks and material objects can challenge and enrich text-based approaches to Classical Antiquity. This collection of six essays grew out of Professor Coleman's Presidential Panel convened at the 143rd meeting of the American Philological Association (now the Society for Classical Studies) in 2012. The volume contains 88 pages of plates, many in color, depicting the wide range of artwork and objects discussed, including mosaics, sculpture, paintings, frescoes, and coins.
