The Department of the Classics is thrilled to announce that we will soon be welcoming two new professors to our department! Irene Soto Marín, an economic historian whose research focuses on Late Roman Egypt, will take up an appointment as Assistant Professor of the Classics this July. And in two years’ time, after the conclusion of her postdoctoral fellowship, Kelly Nguyen, whose current project focuses on classical reception in the Vietnamese diaspora, will join us as Assistant Professor of the Classics and Comparative Literature.
